There's only one way out - organize
The problem is the left. They don't organize.
I just posted this on Chris Armitage's substack. If there's someone out there with consistently better ideas than Chris, I don't know of them. Everything Chris writes connects to organizing.

The problem is the left.
The left thinks that this too shall pass, that posting or protests matter (another No Kings protest coming to your town soon). They're distracted by social media, corporate media (which substack is part of), Bill Maher, or asinine ideas like what's coming from the abundance crowd. They believe bi-partisanship is a thing. That the answers for the country are in the NYT. The left still believes in corporate, centrist candidates like Josh Shapiro, Gavin Newsome, or Jay Robert Pritzker. They think if Kamala just had more time, she'd have won.
The left doesn't believe in the simple idea of organizing. Organizing is for unions, what Democrats helped get rid of. Okay, Obama 08 had a strong ground game. But that's not true organizing. And there's way more to the story.
The winds were perfect for Obama. Americans were sick of Iraq, Republicans got the blame for the housing collapse and Katrina. Social media didn't have the grip it does now, we hadn't entered into the post-truth apocalypse we're living in now. McCain gave him a big gift by picking Palin. Prior to that, McCain was ahead in the polls. Obama couldn't have had it any better. Obama was, The Candidate.
Folks, the only way we make it out of this is to organize. We need to do an-end-around on the system and organize from the bottom up. This means forming a citizens group (ala The Tea Party) that's at least 10 million strong. Then go forward with an agenda - and only that agenda, which is right of what Saul Alinsky and Jane McAlevey wrote.
BTW. The right read everything Saul Alinsky wrote.
Respectfully.
If you think there's another way, you are wrong. If you think the old way still applies, you are wrong. If you think the right can be negotiated with, you are wrong.
The right has taken control. But that's only part of their plan. Their goal is complete dominion, as set forth in the seven mountains mandate.
The left has underestimated the right and now the right has taken control. It's going to take years now, to beat them back. But it can be done. We just have to organize. Be patient, and committed.
I've spent $6k of my money that I didn't have to start Town Hall Citizen. It's not about me. It's about us. There literally is not one original idea on the site. Everything you see came from studying history and listening to people way smarter than me.
So when are we gonna start taking it to them? When, are we going to fight for the children? When are we going to stop being the audience of, and start being the participants in, our own liberation? When, are we going to organize????
