Hundreds turnout to protest Trump in Eagle County, Colorado

Freedom Park No Kings protest today in Edwards, CO

Before I go any further, the murders of Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman — the top Democrat in the Minnesota House — and her husband Mark are shocking and sad. Our hearts go out to their families.

Today was the nationwide No Kings protest. I was going to head down to Denver, but then I learned there was a protest right here in the 'hood - 20 minutes East in Edwards.

We started off at Freedom Park. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many fellow activists.

From there we walked about 1 mile to the roundabout in Edwards at the intersection of Highway 6 and Edwards Boulevard where we stayed for the next hour.

I didn't see anyone driving by and flipping us off or saying anything negative. The cars driving by seemed highly supportive.

My sign was popular. I moved around so more could see it. Not one person disagreed with any of our 10 points. And when I explained what we're about, people wholeheartedly agreed.

I'm hoping to have our first meeting location, time and date by the end of the week.
